What We Do

The Lookout Mountain Conservancy works with families and landowners to assist them on a voluntary basis to conserve lands that are locally and regionally important along the 93 miles of Lookout Mountain spanning three states: Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia.

Lookout Mountain Conservancy has three major programs:

  • Education — fostering a love of the land and learning, as well as increased self-esteem and personal drive using Lookout Mountain as an inspiring outdoor classroom
  • Conservation — helping landowners, families and our community conserve important lands critical for clean air, water and food
  • Recreation — assisting families, partners and our community in establishing parks, trails and natural areas
