John C. Wilson Park

John C. Wilson Park is a public wayside park located on Cummings Highway at the north end of Lookout Mountain within the City limits of Chattanooga. The park provides recreational access to many public trails traversing the north and east slopes of Lookout Mountain. Goals at John C. Wilson Park are:

  1. site improvement and green space development
  2. provision of public open space
  3. native habitat restoration
  4. environmental education

Guild-Hardy Trail

Guild-Hardy Trail is a 5-mile hiking and biking trail skirting the north end of Lookout Mountain that follows the historic route of the old broad gauge rail line. The trail is described on Outdoor Chattanooga’s website and features beautiful scenery as well as historic sites.
